Why should I blow-dry my shoes?
Transparent materials (PVC) and Pleaser patent leather (High Gloss) are naturally a bit stiffer. With targeted heat, the material becomes supple, stretches slightly, and adapts to your individual foot shape – for maximum comfort without pinching.
Step-by-step: Here's how it works
- 1. Prepare: Put on a pair of thick socks and slip into your heels or boots.
- 2. Warm up: Set the hairdryer to a medium setting. Hold it about 6–8 inches away and move it evenly over the pressure points (e.g., toe straps or shaft edges).
- 3. Break them in: Once the material becomes soft, turn off the hairdryer. Walk around in the shoes until they are completely cooled down. This way, the material "remembers" the new shape.
Safety note: Never overheat the material. The shoe should only become warm to the touch and flexible. Too much heat can loosen the adhesive or cloud the transparent PVC.
Pro tip for transparent heels
If you have trouble getting into your heels, briefly blow-dry the material from inside. It will become immediately more stretchable, and you'll slide in effortlessly.
