Understanding Plateau Heights

Platform Height Guide: Which Height is Right for You?

The choice of platform height not only determines your look but also your walking experience. Here’s an overview of the most common heights at peachyboots.de.

Model / Series Platform Height Heel Height Suitability
Demonia Creepers approx. 5 cm (2") Flat Everyday & Festivals
Pleaser Delight approx. 4.5 cm (1.75") 15 cm (6") Beginner / Classic
Pleaser Adore approx. 7 cm (2.75") 17.5 cm (7") The Pole Standard
Pleaser Flamingo approx. 10 cm (4") 20 cm (8") Professional & Floorwork

Why is a higher platform often more comfortable?

It sounds paradoxical, but: The higher the platform with a constant heel height, the lower the actual incline (the arch) for your foot. A 20 cm heel with a 10 cm platform often feels more stable when walking than a 12 cm heel without any platform!

Important Note for Floorwork: Higher platforms (like those in the Flamingo series) provide a larger surface area for toe stands and edge work. They visually elongate the legs and support fluid movements on the floor.
